18 March 2024
Veezu has announced its participation in Barnsley Hospice's Accumulator Challenge for 2024. The exciting initiative will see Veezu joins forces with 19 esteemed local Barnsley businesses, in a collective effort to raise funds for Barnsley Hospice.
In support of the challenge, Veezu has pledged to contribute a portion of their fares from every ride taken within the last two weeks of March, within the Barnsley area. Over the past six years, the hospice's annual event has raised over £80,000.
Emma Atkinson, Regional Journey Booking Centre Manager at Veezu, said: "We are thrilled to be able to take part in the Accumulator Challenge for the second year running to support the exceptional work of Barnsley Hospice."
"Not only is the challenge a fantastic way for the community to come together and raise money for a wonderful cause, but it also provides Veezu with the opportunity to continue supporting City Taxis' 2023 Charity of the Year."
Every donation will fuel the hospice's mission to deliver unparalleled care and support to individuals living with a life-limiting illness and the people close to them.
Simon Atkinson, Corporate Partnership Manager at Barnsley Hospice said: "We're delight Veezu is taking part in our Accumulator Challenge once again, and we can't wait to see what the team has planned
"This year marks the hospice's 30th anniversary, and our thanks go to the Veezu team for helping us to celebrate the occasion and raise vital funds. We have a feeling it might just be our best Accumulator Challenge yet!"
