Serial entrepreneurs Nathan Bowles and Paul Ragan founded Veezu in 2013, with a vision to revolutionise private hire with innovation and customer-focused mobility.

In 2019, Veezu had over 4,650 active partner drivers, generating a total transactional value exceeding £120 million overtaking Addison Lee to become the largest private hire operator in the UK.

The acquisition of Premier Cars added 300 licensed vehicles to the Amber Cars fleet, taking the total fleet to 1,250 across West Yorkshire.

The acquisition of Gee Gee Cars saw Amber Cars operate an additional 50 licensed vehicles in South Leeds, as well as boosting bookings by 5,000 a week.

The acquisition saw Dragon Taxis partner with an additional 150 vehicles across Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan and bridged coverage between its existing operating areas of Cardiff and Bridgend.

Veezu’s Leeds subsidiary Amber Cars made another local acquisition, adding Pudsey B-Line’s 50 cars to its West Yorkshire fleet.

Veezu has extended its reach eastbound by creating a new hub through the acquisitions of Panther Taxis in Cambridge and ABC Taxis in Norwich.

Britannia Taxis joins forces with Veezu to establish its new Merseyside hub, bringing together a fleet of over 500 skilled driver-partners across the region.

Veezu acquired Steve’s Taxis, operating in Huntingdon and St Neot’s, adding 75 cars to its growing fleet in Cambridgeshire.

City Taxis, one of the most prominent private hire operators in North Yorkshire and Derbyshire, rebrands to Veezu.

As part of its ongoing expansion, Veezu relocated its headquarters to Hodge House in the heart of Cardiff. The move reinforces our Welsh roots while fostering an open, inclusive, and accessible environment where every team member feels a sense of belonging.

The rebranding of A2B Radio Cars and Go Carz unifies Veezu’s Midlands operations under the group’s master brand. This move follows similar efforts in Sheffield with City Taxis in September 2023 and V Cars in the South West in 2022, strengthening Veezu’s presence and identity across the UK.

The Amber Cars rebrand marks a pivotal step in transforming transportation services across Leeds, Bradford, and surrounding areas. This milestone also represents the fifth phase of Veezu's national brand rollout.

Britannia Taxis has switched to the Veezu app, following Panther Taxis' move in May. This transition further expands Veezu’s national coverage.

Aqua Cars, Andi Cars, Bridge Cars, Fareham Cars, and Jetlink switch to the new Veezu app, unifying all brands under one platform with seamless national coverage.

Veezu acquired Goldstar in Norwich, adding 45 cars to its fleet under the ABC Taxis brand. This acquisition further strengthened Veezu’s regional presence, enhancing service offerings across Norwich and surrounding areas.

Veezu acquired Club Cars, expanding its presence into Manchester. This acquisition completes a northern belt for Veezu, spanning from Hull and Doncaster to Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Manchester, Wigan, St Helens, and Liverpool.
